Myeloma disproportionately affects Black ethnic groups, with disease onset occurring 4 years earlier and an increased mortality rate. Despite the increased risk among this population, awareness is low and as a result Black individuals are more likely to present with advanced disease. We are committed to addressing this disparity through increasing disease and symptom awareness.
