Navigating the challenges of influenza vaccination

Life is a health journey and influenza is one of the top 5 major killers and leading causes of death in the world, causing 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness and up to 500,000 deaths worldwide every year. In the UK alone in the 2015-2016 flu season, over 2,100 people were admitted to hospital and over 200 people died. Vaccination is the cornerstone of protection for people and communities from the heavy burden of influenza and its fatal outcomes.

As a health journey partner, Sanofi is committed to fighting influenza. As the world’s largest supplier of influenza vaccines we produce approximately 40 percent of the vaccines distributed worldwide. Backed by 60 years of long-standing experience in influenza vaccine research, development and production, we are constantly working to save lives through new and innovative influenza vaccines.
